Trunk Registration

Create a new trunk using the Wizard. URL is https://{SYSTEMIP}/manager/admin/sipwizard/

This is also required if replacing an old SIP trunk, which needs to be deleted and a system reboot. The old trunk will continue attempting registration until reboot is completed. Wizard walk through below.

SIP MODULE

Presentation needed for Wizard purposes. DDI set in Bytrunk will override this

SIP SETTINGS

No changes needed.

DIALPLAN

No changes needed.

CALL RECORDING

If call recording was enabled on previous SIP trunk, enable both.

Hit Next and then finish. Trunk now built.

TRUNK SETTINGS

Now go to the https://{SYSTEMIP}/manager page and check Trunk settings. Your newly named trunk will be available.

Settings of the trunk should look as follows:

Modules will look as follows. This should be auto filled but can be amended if necessary. The “General” settings are only setting that need checked.

LINK NEW TRUNK TO DIAL PLAN

To allow users to start using new trunk for outbound dialling, this will need to linked to a Dial plan, which then needs the new LCR plan linked to it.

New LCR Plan should be automatically created. And labelled with new name of trunk that you created.

To link this new LCR plan, go to Dial plans on the left, click on Standard, click on Any on the 1st entry, on the LCR section, click on the Yellow Standard, then on the Blue Standard, then on Trunk Group which should have a trunk group highlighted in Yellow, click on this then choose the BytrunkTrkGrp. Finished should look like the below.

As all users will be automatically assigned the Standard Dial plan, any call made by users will now be using the new SIP trunk.

Delete Old Trunk

The old SIP trunk will need to be deleted as this will try to continue to register.

Go to Trunks -> Click on name of old trunk - Choose Virtual -> Then Delete.

You will then need to reboot system to allow the old trunk to be fully deleted from the system. This will bring down all handsets so giving customer prior notice is essential.

Go the SelectVoice Installer page for system. {SYSTEMIP}/install

The Reseller username and password from the welcome letter of the system will be needed to log in. Once logged in, the screen below will appear.

Scroll to bottom of page, where System Status will be an option. Click on this and choose the restart option for the Soft PBX Admin Module

Enter the reseller password to continue. Once system is back up, new Trunk should be up and running and ready to make and receive calls.

Inbound Routing

Adding Inbound Route

Although the DDIs for the customer may already be in the DDI Plan, the format may need changed.

Navigate to the DDI Plan section on left hand side, Click on Standard, then go to the order number of the DDIs that are migrating to Bytrunk.

Number will need to be added in +44 or +353 format, depending on what format is set on the inbound route section of Bytrunk portal. Translate To field should stay the same as this will either be a ring group or an auto attendant that DDIs are already pointing to.

Once all updated, DDI Plan page should look like below.

Outbound CLIs

Allowing DDI Passthrough on outbound calls

If users require to present their own DDI, a setting must be updated on the Trunk section.

Providing the users already have their DDI set, as per the Splicecom instructions, then within Trunks -> Bytrunk SIP -> Virtual -> SIP then the SIP “PAI” Field, enter %s %s@trunking.byphone.co.uk
